The fabulous one-man band, Dave Harris, performs at the market on Saturday! deVine Vineyards and Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse will be at the market offering samples and selling bottles of their fine products to take home.  This week we start our weather protocol. The Market has the option of setting up inside the RCMP Barn at the Saanich Fairground if the weather is poor.  If the weather looks good, then we set up on the field as usual. The reason for setting up inside on rainy days is to provide our market customers a comfortable place to shop and to protect our vendors’ products from damaging rains. Of course, it it’s sunny we all like to be on the field!

The next market is Saturday, September 6 – there is no market on August 30 as the historic Saanich Fair takes over the Fairgrounds. There is a farmers-only market at the Fair managed by the Southern Vancouver Island Direct Farm Marketing Association but you need to pay to get into the Fair to access the market. We are back on September 6 and continue every Saturday until Thanksgiving (October 11).
