It’s a special day at the Peninsula Country Market this Saturday. 4-H British Columbia is partnering with the Peninsula Country Market to celebrate 4-H and Canada 150. 4-H welcomes the Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia. Her Honour is helping 4-H BC celebrate Canada 150 while receiving a Lifetime Honourary 4-H Membership. This is a family friendly event with a bouncy castle, free popcorn and cotton candy, and 4-H member projects. There also may be an appearance by the mascot Frisco the Fox! The special event will run from 9am-1pm (regular market hours) with Her Honour arriving at 11am. Following the presentation there will be a cake giveaway to the public. Come out and support our market vendors too – Yellow Point Cranberries will be at the market with fresh Vancouver Island cranberries for your festive dinners! Music by Lucille Drive. The market is on rain or shine and has the option of setting up in the RCMP Barn (on the west side to the Main Hall) in the event of rain.
