Marlene Bauer’s Pottery

Contact: Marlene Bauer

I have been working in clay for about 6 years at the Cedar Hill and JDF recreation centers in Victoria.  In the last 3 years, my home studio has provided me with a wonderful work space. Pottery provides me with joy, creative satisfaction and therapeutic relaxation.  The potter’s wheel is my most preferred tool, but hand building also offers new and creative challenges for me to explore. I use a cone 6 stoneware clay, creating functional as well as decorative wares. The glazes used are food safe and suitable for oven, microwave and dishwasher use.

Marsco Canine Crunchies

Contact: Rachel Meadows Home Saanichton Phone: 250-886-3827

People ask me why I called my company MarSco. So let me introduce you to my two dogs. Marcus and Scout. They are friendly and playful. They love going for walks. They are my company mascots and quality control, So when I was deciding on my company name I chose to blend the first half of their names. Then MarSco Canine Crunchies was born.
I love to bake so that’s why I decided to bake for my dogs and their friends. Nothing like home made dog cookies. That is why I started this business of making home made dog cookies. Knowing what is goes into the recipes I bake, makes me feel good because I know that the dogs who are given these cookies are given healthy treats.
