Market Header 2015

“THOSE SUMMER NIGHTS!”

Wednesday evenings are being added to your summer market selection.

We are very excited to announce that we are expanding your market shopping and eating opportunities to Wednesdays from 4:00 – 8:00pm from July 1st to August 26th.  Come on up to see your favourite vendors selling their locally made, baked or grown products as well as the addition of some of your favourite dinner-time FOOD TRUCKS!  The long-standing and very popular Saturday morning market will continue on as usual until the Thanksgiving weekend, October 10th.

Covid-19 Market Update

Greetings to our wonderful community!  Our vendors are excited to serve you in the wide-open outdoor space with grass underfoot, and with modifications in place to keep everyone safe during these somewhat uncertain times of Covid-19.  We found out on May 28th that non-food vendors as well as food vendors are allowed to sell their locally made, baked or grown products and we couldn’t be happier!
Normally, the market is a wonderful place to gather with friends, family and neighbours BUT during these Covid times, “gathering” is now a big no-no.  To this end, we can’t have the wonderful live music that we are used to and all food must be taken off site to eat.  Vendors must be spaced apart and have line-up markers in place, similar to what we are used to now seeing in grocery stores.  We are all now used to social distancing which of course must happen at the market as well.  It’s more of a “shop and go” experience, at least for now.  If BC continues to do so well with containing the virus, we will hope to have more restrictions lifted as we move forward.
Other changes:
– admittance will be denied to anyone displaying symptoms of illness
– bank machine will not be available
– there will be plenty of opportunities to hand sanitize
– no touching product unless you intend to purchase it
– your personal bags can only touch yourself and the ground
Please don’t let these rules discourage you from supporting our local farmers, creators and artisans!  They are all really excited to see all of your happy faces again, even if it’s just your eyes beaming above a mask!  We are all so looking forward to serving you out in the beautiful fresh air.  See you soon!
